Sweet Baby Jebus – The Boy Returns!
And I won’t begin to bore you with the reasons for why I have been away.
So, as you may notice all the previous posts are gone, somewhat unintentionally but ho-hum. A fresh start and all that.
So what has gone on in my time away.
The Good
Well there has been a lot of good. We have had a superb rise up the league, which is nice. After the somewhat rotten start we had, causing panic in a few quarters, the squad started to gel and we are heading in the right direction. Now we just need to keep the consistency.
We have made the Co-Op Cup Semi, with a decent chance of getting to the final. A good cup run is always a boost, both for the confidence and the coffers. We have yet to be defeated this season by either of the In Firm so there is always that chance we could be in another final.

Wilkie - Signed On
Off the pitch, Lee Wilkie and Jon Daly have both penned extensions to their contracts, with Sean Dillon set to follow. Also on the cards is a deal for Darren Dods. It’s always good to keep the key players at the club when things are going well and all mentioned have played key roles so far.
A wee birdy tells me there is a high chance of a Mr W Flood making Tannadice his permanent hope, although from reading his recent interviews, anyone could pick that up. His agent is over here to meet with the club next week, lets all hope that the outcome is favourable ( Secret Squirl reckons it will be).
The biggest coup of all though, was news that gaffer Craig Levein had signed and extension.
Back to on the pitch and the general all round performance of the squad has been superb at times. It’s hard to pick a stand out player but for just now I will plump for Paul Dixon. Good to see the lad open his United account at the weekend, lets hope there is more to come.
The Bad
Not much to report home about to be honest. I suppose the one thing that was rather disappointing was the news that

Zaluska - Off to Celtic
Lukasz Zaluska signed a pre contract agreement with Celtic.
It would be fair to say that the lad has had a good five months or so since he arrived but such is life, he will move on. With that said, I’m sure the lad will continue to give his all whilst he remains in a United shirt. He is here until the end of the season and I’m sure he will continue to put in as good a shift as he has all season.
And what will the rest of the season bring?
Well a Cup Double and clinching second place from the grasp of Rangers will do for me, thanks.
But in all seriousness, I would love to make a cup final and pick up some silverware. A place in Europe is not beyond us and we have a great chance of acheiving this.
And as for me here and this fine blog?
Back to relative normality, with all the usual Tangerine highs and (very few) lows.
Now lets all look forward to the Cup game on Sunday and my review which I will post tomorrow.
